Sometimes we adults behave like stubborn children. The one who doesn’t want to listen to anybody.I was doing the same thing,the only difference was I was not even listening to my inner voice.
It’s been 17 years now. I go on tour most oftenly either for performing as an actor in the play or to conduct the theater workshop for the children.
When you know touring is a part of your lifestyle and career you must carry all the essentials while traveling out.
And I know this thing.I always carry all my important things specially my laptop,mobile charger,some stationary,extra pair of undergarments, some toiletry including toothpaste and toothbrush,clothes,slip on ,shorts etc.
Only one thing I was missing till date was The “Toiletry Bag”.
I would always keep my toiletry in my laptop bag’s small compartment of a zipper.whenever i used to see my colleague carrying out their toiletry bag from their main bag i would think how particular are these people. How can someone buy an extra bag just for keeping toothpaste and brush.
Later on i kept realising and remembering myself that pravin you should also buy this kind a toiletry bag. It shows how particular you are, how disciplined you are…but don’t know why?There was someone inside me who was denying the idea of buying the toiletry bag.
Now you can say Maybe I am an ignorant, careless person or maybe I had thought that I didn’t really need it.but believe me there was a constant alarm for this thing from my heart.
One day I ordered this small bag from amazon.This time i was excited.during this period before i got that bag in hand my sister shared one beautiful thing. She told me she has planned to go on a Kedarnath trip for around 10 days with her office colleagues.
Well it was a surprise for me and my family too. Because we have never seen her going out with her friends on a trip, not even for a single day. But it was her first trip so we didn’t ask her any questions. Planning your first trip with your hard earned money and savings is itself a beautiful achievement in it. But 10 days that too far from Mumbai to Kedarnath in the mountains scared us.
“Your order will be delivered today on time!” Message poped up.finally bag has arrived.
It is in my hands now. But without giving a single thought I gave it to my sister. I said, “gift for you”.
She jumped out of her bed and had a big smile on her face. She took that box in her hand unwrapped in a hurry and took that toiletry bag out of it. She looked at it carefully and then she looked at me.i saw the faded smile on her face.she said, “what is this dada,Toiletry Bag!”
Without uttering a single word I left for my tour of Ahmdabad.
After 12 days she returned home.she was tired physically but was not ready to get tired while sharing her experience of the trip. She was constantly showering her mesmerizing memories of mountains and some funny moments of her friends on us.
Meanwhile her bak-bak she thanked me for that little toiletry bag.she told me it helps her to keep her toiletry organised and also got a compliment for it from her friends.she continued talking about her experiences and guess what i was smiling and remembering my last tour’s awkward moment.
Yes, the biggest awkward moment. The day when I had left for my tour of Ahmedabad the same day in the evening I landed in ahmedabad my flight was delayed i was late but somehow i reached at my workplace.
I did not get the time to freshen up. I just sprayed perfume on color and took out the laptop in front of children and volunteers. In a hurry I found my whole laptop covered with toothpaste.
Teachers and children were laughing. It was a really hard moment. I was smiling in a bit of embarrassment until I cleaned it up with tissue paper.
Later on I nailed the whole workshop childrens were happy. I was confident and smiling again. But somewhere in my mind I was thinking things take time to realise.sometimes our brain and heart tells us what would be consequences we just need to listen to it.
One thing I learned after my personal experience.you need to have this Toiletry bag to avoid the smile of embarassment or to bring a smile on someone’s face!
